SPOILER ALERT!

I am planning my next project, and I'm pretty excited about. No.. not just excited, ECSTATIC. Ecstatic to the point where when I discovered this idea, I could barley contain my excitement, I had goosebumps, and was almost shaking. All I will show you is the following that is only a hint of what I'm doing :). For those of you who I told because I needed to tell someone, please do NOT share details! I want it to be a surprise :). 

The fun that went down!

That's right, fun! It's crazy! I transformed the wall behind our tv from a plain grey wall to a fun diamond pattern wall! It took me about 10 hours and two rolls of painters tape. I used a small bottle of folk art paint that cost me 1.99 at Michaels. I had a couple of spots that bled through the tape, but nothing a little touch up couldn't fix.

Blogs are a wonderful thing

As I dig deeper and deeper into the wonderful world of blogging I keep stumbling across some amazing blogs with some amazing tutorials. It makes me want to explore the DIY world more and more. This is a blog I stumbled across yesterday and found a tutorial that had my name written all over it. It's a tutorial on re-doing a banister which is exactly what I want to do. It's amazing what you find sometimes isn't it?

New Laundry Light Fixture

Besides putting up our house tour seen here, and our wedding photos seen here, we also put up the new light fixture in the laundry room. We've removed the fluorescent light (which we will put up in the garage) and replaced it with this new light fixture we bought from home depot.

Picture in the frame

While going through my to-do list in my head, I remembered I needed to fill the picture frame in the half bath. Then I remembered all the scrapbook paper I had. Simple and cheap!! Love it!

Well would you look at that...

Design Sponge spotted these tumblers at West Elm, and would you look at that, they match the half bath walls perfectly. What would I need tumblers in the half bath for though? I'm sure I could find something to do with them :).

Weekly Project

When I get home from work, I'm usually dying to do something to the house. Whether it be moving a vase to a different location, or in this case, repainting the half bath. Inspiration came from this bathroom from YoungHouseLove.

There are still things we want to do like replace both light fixtures, vanity, sink, toilet paper holder, and remove the oversized towel bar, which is not necessary since there is no shower or bath, oh and put a picture in the picture frame ;)
